How much does it cost to file for divorce in the state of Georgia?

I am being abused by my husband I need to get out of the relationship.

Its better if you ask a Lawyer this question on the phone, not all lawyers charge the same, get a phone of 2 or 3 lawyers, give them a quick call, have an idea of how much such a thing would cost.

    It depends. If the divorce is uncontested, meaning you both agree on it, then you can do it yourself, I did. The filing fees vary per state, they range between $ 150 and up.
    However if its contested, which I’m guessing since he’s abusive it will be, you will need a lawyer to get it finalized. That will cost a bit, lawyers are pricey. But I agree with the first answer. Contact a few lawyers to see about their experience and their prices as they both will vary.
